Our Background & History
SERETECH Women and Youth Empowerment Initiative (SWaYE Initiative) is a non-profit, non-political organization incorporated in September 2023. It is a brainchild of South East Region Economic Development Company, which has been driving socio-economic development in South Eastern Nigeria.
SERETECH was established to focus specifically on empowering women and youth as a catalyst for social change and sustainable development.
SERETECH focuses on sustainable development to create long term positive impact on communities and the environment.
This is achieved by designing inclusive programmes that empower marginalized groups to promote social equity and opportunity. We emphasize innovation and active community to drive effective development solutions.

Meet The Team
She is a highly accomplished Programme Manager with two decades of experience specializing in governance systems strengthening, climate policy analysis, and institutional capacity building. She has a proven record of implementing transformative initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, and government responsiveness.
With over 15 years of progressive experience spanning project coordination, financial management, research, and data analysis, Chika brings a results-driven and analytical approach to programme monitoring and evaluation.
With a strong background in digital strategy, content marketing, and information systems design, he leads SERETECH’s communication and knowledge management initiatives, ensuring that the organization’s programs on climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and youth inclusion are effectively documented, shared, and amplified for greater impact.
